2 tbs oil
3 tbs butter
2 lbs stew beef
salt & pepper
1 large onion, chopped
2 carrots, peeled and chopped
6 tbs corn starch
1/2 cup bourban
2 cups broth


Pre-heat oven to 375°F.

Place a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add oil and butter. Season the beef with salt and pepper and add to pot. Brown for 6-8 minutes. 

Add onions and carrots, and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add corn starch, stir to combine and coat.

Add the both and bourban, and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, cover and place in the oven for 1 1/2 hours.

When the beef is done, remove from the oven. 

Serve with mash potatoes.
