Merry Christmas!

Today we prepare to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Christ.  The holiday is filled with symbols of Jesus and songs that sing about his birth. The songs that come to mind include Silent Night, What Child is This, O Little Town of Bethleham, Mary Did you Know and many others.  If you have never heard Mary Did you Know, I encourage you to listen on YouTube.

A few years ago I got to see a play based on this song, set in modern times and it really touched my soul. The story of Christmas was made real.

If you have never read the story of Christmas, please pick up a bible and turn to Luke chapter 2. This story can be read in a short 5 minutes.

The kings brought the baby gifts of gold representing his kingship, frankincense a symbol of his priestly role, and myrrh a prefiguring of his death and embalming—an interpretation made popular in the well-known Christmas carol “We Three Kings.”

There are also healing power in frankincense for inflammation and sickness. Myrrh is used to heal infections, reduce fever and relieve eczema. Personally I use myrrh every day in my quest to be healthy and inflammation free.

Today's giveaway has a special place in my heart.

One blessed person will win essential oils frankincense and myrrh along with a bar of gold soap.
