Smoothie before Coffee the rule to follow!

Smoothie Rules:
  1. First rule is smoothie before coffee - because if you take coffee first thing in the morning it will spike your adrenals and cause you to go into a stress overload. Although if you introduce a smoothie then your body will start to nourish your mitochondria and starts our metabolism for the day before we introduce caffeine. 
  2. Second rule smoothie before coffee by doing this you are able to stop the blood sugar spike that would be introduced to your body with the fancy nancy coffee. Your smoothie will help regulate your blood sugar for the day.


All right, so how do you structure your smoothie? 

Go get your big cup first. Put in your liquid. I prefer canned coconut milk then, add your frozen items like frozen fruits, frozen vegetables. Some great ideas include: frozen strawberries, frozen pineapple, frozen raspberries or blueberries even do frozen peaches. Next add your vegetables including spinach, celery, cucumber, kale, sweet potatoes(if there are somewhat mushy/precooked), if you're going to add any soaked nuts or flax or quinoa or oats. Finally, on top it off with fresh fruits oranges, kiwi, clementines, avocado, strawberries, bananas, any of that stuff. You can also get fancy and add a little lemon juice, lime juice, flaked coconut or shaved almonds. Give it a good blend and enjoy!

The idea is to get fruits, vegetables, proteins and good fats in your body when you wake up before anything else.
